To be honest, I don’t even like oysters. Do I think they’re cool creatures and enjoy the look of pearls? Yes. Will I be eating them? Hard no! But that just means there’s more for all you oyster lovers out there.  

This artwork was therefore inspired by both my childhood growing up next to the ocean and my parents’ love for oysters. I also really wanted to challenge myself and see if I could capture that wet, gleaming quality of their flesh.
