ABOUT THE ARTIST

Thank you for being here!
My name is Jadzia and I am an artist and aspiring illustrator currently based in Auckland, New Zealand.
I grew up in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds before moving to Blenheim, with my family, to attend High School. I then went on to study at the University of Otago in Dunedin. After finishing my degree I moved to Queenstown full time for a year, having lived there on and off during the summer holidays for nearly four years. I made the shift up to Auckland at the start of 2021 and have been here since.
My earliest memories involves holding some type of drawing or painting device - which my parents can attest to looking at the countless stacks of scribbles they still keep boxed away. I have exhibited my works in a number of locations across New Zealand, including: the Millennium Art Gallery, Marlborough Art Society, University of Otago and Pakuranga Park Village. Most recently I had a sold out exhibition at the Warkworth Hotel.
In my role as a Committee Member & Marketing Consultant for the Marlborough Art Society in Blenheim I helped plan, coordinate, set up and host a number of events and exhibitions run by the society. Art is for everyone and my goal is help inspire others to follow their passion and to give them the means to do so.
I love learning and am always looking at ways to grow my skill. I am self taught but thoroughly enjoy participating in courses run by others and challenging myself to explore new mediums, techniques and styles. If you would like to follow my journey and keep up to date with what I am creating then you can subscribe to my mail list.
